Linda Evans is an American actress born on November 18, 1942, in Hartford, Connecticut. She is primarily known for television roles—Evans’ first appearance as a guest star on a 1960 episode of Bachelor Father. After numerous guest roles in The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet between 1960 and 1962, Evans was able to gain her first regular role in The Big Valley in 1965. Evans won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Television Drama Series for her 1981 role in Dynasty. She was subsequently nominated every year from 1982 to 1985 and won a People’s Choice Award for Favorite Female Performer and a Soap Opera Digest Award for Outstanding Lead Actress Category. She left Dynasty cast in 1989, four months before the series ended, and after two years, she returned to play Krystle Carrington for the miniseries Dynasty: The Reunion. She retired from screen acting altogether in 1997 but reunited with her Dynasty cast for the nonfiction reunion. Evan was honored with a 6834 star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Hollywood, California.
