“Buried In Barstow” is a suspense-filled thriller that focuses on Hazel, her mysterious past, and her relentless effort to safeguard her child, Joy King.

Followers of this captivating King story eagerly await news on its follow-up. Has the next installment been confirmed or dropped?

Buried In Barstow 1 Highlights

In the previous episode of “Buried in Barstow,” Hazel lives peacefully in Barstow, California. She runs a BBQ spot and is a mom to Joy, whose real name is Lauren Richards. Years ago, in Las Vegas, she was a young drug addict who became a dangerous hit woman.

Hazel decided to leave that dangerous world when she got pregnant. But, two decades later, her old life has returned to haunt her. Her former boss, with whom she acted in “Rizzoli & Isles” as Bruce McGill, wants her in Vegas for one last task.

In Barstow, Hazel tries to keep Joy safe from a problematic boyfriend. At the same time, she meets a mysterious man named Elliot, played by Kristoffer Polaha. His reasons for being in Barstow are unclear. The episode ends with a twist.

Hazel learns that Elliot is connected to her old boss from their time in jail. But just as she’s about to address this, she prevents a kidnapping and gets shot near her restaurant. Surprisingly, Travis, Joy’s harmful boyfriend, who everyone thought was gone, returns to Barstow. Joy seems interested in talking to him again.

The Return of Hazel: ‘Buried In Barstow 2’ Coming Soon!

The next chapter of ‘Buried In Barstow’ is coming, promising more insights into Hazel’s mysterious history. The first film hinted that Hazel would return, and there’s talk of four films in the series to reveal her whole story.

While there’s no set release date, it’s expected that ‘Buried In Barstow 2’ will be out in 2023. The second film is already being made and should be available by mid-2023.

Expected Storyline of Buried In Barstow 2

In the initial part of “Buried In Barstow,” Hazel steps up to assist her buddy, Javier. He and a young girl almost get abducted. While attempting to prevent this, she gets wounded by a bullet. Elliot arrives soon after, leaving us pondering Hazel’s fate.

We’re left in suspense about the kidnappers’ identity and where Javier and the girl were taken. If Hazel pulls through, she might dive into this mystery. On another note, Travis, dating Joy, miraculously makes it out alive. He asks Joy to come with him, adding another concern for Hazel.

Harmon feels that this film breathes fresh air into Lifetime movies. It stands out from the typical Lifetime offerings. “Buried In Barstow” is intense, raw, and, in Harmon’s eyes, shares vibes with “Yellowstone.”

Who’s Returning? The Expected Cast of ‘Buried In Barstow Part 2’

We think Hazel, played by Angie Harmon, might come back in the sequel, “Buried In Barstow Part 2.” Alongside her, we anticipate Kristoffer Polaha’s returns as Elliot, George Paez as Javier, Lauren Richards as Joy, and Timothy Granaderos as Travis.
