Early Life and Education
On 31st March 1996, Koshy was born in Houston, Texas, United States. Jose Koshy, her Indian father, is a petroleum executive and her mother, yoga instructor Jean Carol (née Hertzler), is of German descent. She has two older sisters. From kindergarten until 5th grade, she attended a dual language educational and cultural program and learned to speak Spanish. In 2014, Koshy enrolled at the University of Houston after attending Lamar High School and studied business marketing. Later in 2015, Koshy left college and moved to Los Angeles to pursue her career.

In 2013, Koshy started posting funny videos on the Vine platform. By 2016, she became noted on YouTube. Just before the elections, she took an interview of President Barack Obama on her YouTube channel to promote voter registration.
