A famous American meteorologist and television personality is Samantha Mohr, who was born on 13 September 1961 in Columbus, Georgia. Mohr studied meteorology in Houston on scholarship, where she interned at FOX TV station KRIV.
She was crowned Miss Georgia in 1985 and received more than $3,500 scholarship money as well as prizes from the state pageant. She competed for the Miss America 1986 title as representative of Georgia.
In 1989, she went to KTVK/Phoenix; she served as morning meteorologist for Good Morning Arizona. After serving many years in the desert, San Francisco’s CBS O&O KPIX hired her in 2001 as Chief Meteorologist. After six years, Mohr returned to Georgia to join The Weather Channel on Weekend View, which she co-hosted the show with Dao Vu and Bill Keneely.
Later, she joined CNN International, where she worked from 2013 to 2015. Further, she provided weather coverage on HLN for Weekend Express and WXIA-TV/11 Alive” in Atlanta. She is currently on-air talent at WXIA-TV in Atlanta.
