Apanowic appeared in the Hallmark Channel original movie Every Second Counts. She gained massive success after portraying Andy Jensen on the ABC Family series Kyle XY. She is best known for playing Lacy Rand on the short-lived Syfy science fiction drama series Caprica and Emily on the science fiction series Continuum. She also made a guest appearance in the second season of Jane Espenson’s romantic comedy web series, Husbands. She appeared in the horror film The Green Inferno and the sci-fiction thriller film Volition. Recently, Apanowicz was starred in the recurring role of Sandy on the second season thriller You on Netflix.
