At the age of 18, Johnson moved to New York City to pursue a career in acting and attended the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Her breakthrough role came after a month of moving to Los Angeles when she was selected to play Kimberly Hart, the Pink Ranger, in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. The series was a big hit and had brought Johnson international fame as an actress. She is also best known for her roles as Julie Emrick on Felicity and Jules Callaghan on Flashpoint. Further, Johnson has directed short films, including Bent and Lines, along with two feature-length films, The Space Between and Tammy’s Always Dying.
