Dave, after hours of research (or a text to a long-suffering friend) I can reveal that I will be starting a campaign to make "peng ji" a regular fixture in the Chinese media. Feel free to shout it from Chinatown's rooftops. JBS, your surprise astonishes me given your line of work!

OMG! Surely you jest, in order to make a great column. That was not a very good explanation you received – a missed translation? You've proved two things are wrong with journalism here. One are the controls -- which only serves to insult the intelligence of the people and protect those in power, the other is idiocy, oh the idiocy. I only wish you were joking.
